On Friday, August 20, 2010, people from across our surrounding communities will join to participate in the Coalition Caddie Classic Golf Outing.  This event is sponsored by the Coalition for Healthy Communities, a volunteer effort committed to improving the health and well being of our local communities.

The golf outing is an effort to raise awareness and support for a special community partnership.  The Coalition’s energies have successfully focused on reducing youth substance abuse.   

Since February 1998, our Healthy YOUth program has trained thousands of grade school children in our local communities, teaching them the virtues of drug, tobacco and alcohol prevention.  Funds raised by this golf outing will go toward these programs, as well as other similar focuses, which target the health and wellness needs within our community.
