Cesar Cardenas, a 2013 Zion-Benton Township Highschool graduate, is a long-time member of the community. He currently serves as a Board Member and as the Treasurer of the Coalition for Healthy Communities. In his role as Treasurer, Cesar is largely responsible for overseeing and maintaining the organization’s financial wellbeing. As part of his responsibilities, Cesar helps to maintain proper financial records, to ensure adherence to tax laws and general fiscal policies, and to enforce compliance with the Coalition’s internal financial policies.
Cesar currently works as an Investment Performance Associate with the Northern Trust Corporation in Chicago, IL. In this role, Cesar works with an assortment of institutional clients including public funds, university endowments, and corporate pension plans to help them interpret and better understand the drivers behind their investment performance. Prior to joining Northern Trust, Cesar spent three years with Bank of America Merrill Lynch. During his time there, he worked as a Registered Client Associate and as a Financial Advisor. In these roles, Cesar helped create custom financial plans and investment strategies for his clients. Cesar graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Lake Forest College in 2017.
