Healthy YOUth

Healthy YOUth (Youth Opportunities Unlimited) has been an active student organization for over 18 years at Zion-Benton Township High School and was introduced at New Tech High School two years ago. Students in this group are dedicated to living and promoting a drug-free lifestyle.

Healthy YOUth members educate their peers on the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana and other drugs. Healthy YOUth sponsors activities such as Red Ribbon Week, The Great American Smokeout, Drunk and Drugged Driving Prevention Month, Kick Butts Day, Operation Sticker Shock, and Operation Snowball.

Healthy YOUth members have helped pass legislation including social hosting laws and smoke-free park ordinances. With over 100 students involved in this group at two campuses, Healthy YOUth leads the way for other students so that all ZeeBees know that being ATOD Free is the ZB Way.
