Collette Davis
Colette Davis became the Property Assessor for Zion Township in April 2021.
She is the first African American to hold the office of Assessor of Property in the history of Lake County Illinois.
Prior to election, she served 31 years in the lending industry where she helped clients accomplish their dream of homeownership.
Since 2014, she has served as the Chair of the Zion Benton Leadership Academy (ZBLA) Task Force, of which she is an inaugural graduate.
During her tenure, she saw the need to serve the youth and developed a JR ZBLA Academy which serves 8th – 12 grade students.
She also serves on the Fundraising Committee.
She is a Certified Illinois Assessing Officer, a member of the Lake County Township Assessors Association, and the Illinois Association of Assessing Officers.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from North Park University.
It is her belief that working together as a community is the key to successfully moving forward.
