On Thursday, January 21st 2016 from 7:30am to 8:30am, the Zion-Benton Coalition for Healthy Communities will be holding their Organization of Character Breakfast. Business owners, school teachers, community leaders, non-profits and religious leaders will be in attendance for the breakfast, which will be held at The Inn at Market Square (2723 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL 60099).
Throughout 2016, the Community of Character Task Force is encouraging everyone in the Zion-Benton area to live by 6 words, which were selected by the community, to improve the community. Every other month, a new word is emphasized. The year begins with “Respect“.
The 6 words selected by the community are:
Respect – I treat others the way I want to be treated.
Perseverance – I stay the course to reach my goals.
Responsibility – I am accountable for my actions and attitudes.
Safety – I take action to address harm.
Integrity – I do the right thing, even when no one is watching.
Kindness – I demonstrate care and concern.
