The communication campaign at ZCMS aims to change students’ knowledge and attitudes about alcohol and other drugs, while promoting healthy choices. This is done through posters, bathroom newsletters, promotional items, and activities with the students and staff. The goals of the campaign are:
- • To increase the percent of Zion Central Middle School students who report moderate to great risk associated with drinking alcohol regularly.
- • To increase the percent of Zion Central Middle School student who report it is wrong or very wrong to drink alcohol regularly.
As with the social norms campaign at ZBTHS, data comes from the Illinois Youth Survey, conducted every 2 years.
